Privacy Policy for StoryPlaylist
Effective Date: May 17, 2026
Summary
StoryPlaylist does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. All app data — your followed podcasts, playlists, playback position, and downloaded episodes — is stored locally on your device.
Information We Collect
None. StoryPlaylist does not operate any servers, accounts, analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies. The developer has no access to your usage data, listening history, library contents, or device identifiers.
Data Stored on Your Device
The following information is stored locally on your iPad and never leaves your device through StoryPlaylist:
- Podcasts you follow
- Playlists and their contents
- Playback positions and history
- Downloaded episode audio files
- App preferences
This data is removed when you delete the app.
Third-Party Services
To provide its core functionality, StoryPlaylist makes network requests to third parties. These third parties may log your IP address and request metadata according to their own privacy policies. The developer does not receive or have access to this data.
- Apple iTunes Search API — used when you search for podcasts. Your search query is sent to Apple. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Podcast RSS feeds and audio hosts — used to fetch episode lists and download/stream audio. Requests go directly to the podcast publisher’s hosting provider. Each podcast publisher has its own privacy practices.
- Podcast artwork hosts — image URLs referenced by RSS feeds are fetched directly from the host specified by the publisher.
Apple-Provided Diagnostics
If you have enabled “Share With App Developers” in iOS Settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share anonymized, aggregated crash reports and usage statistics with the developer through App Store Connect. This sharing is controlled by Apple and by you, not by StoryPlaylist. The developer receives no personally identifying information through this channel. You can disable this at any time in iOS Settings.
StoryPlaylist itself does not integrate any analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry SDK.
Children’s Privacy
StoryPlaylist does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Permissions
StoryPlaylist requests no system permissions beyond standard network access required to fetch podcast feeds and audio.
Data Retention and Deletion
All app data lives on your device. To delete it, uninstall the app. There is no server-side data to request, export, or delete.
Your Rights
Because no personal data is collected or stored by the developer, requests under GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations are not applicable to data held by StoryPlaylist. For data handled by third parties listed above, contact those parties directly.
